A professional men’s volleyball team is coming to Kyoto. Our goal is to join the V.LEAGUE and to become the best in the country. The public contest to decide the name that will become the team’s face closed at 23:59 on Monday 17 August 2026 (00:00 on 18 August), and we received 531 entries. Thank you to everyone who took part. The chosen name will be announced at the team unveiling press conference on Wednesday 16 September 2026.

Civic judges
Become a founding member of the team. We are looking for three civic judges.
From among the general entries, we will appoint three people who write to us with real passion as “team name selection judges.” You will join the steering committee and help decide the team name from the final shortlist — a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
* Open to those who can attend the selection meeting on Thursday 20 August 2026.
* To stand as a candidate, select “yes” for item ⑦ on your application.

A shikishi signature board signed by every member of the founding cohort.
