ORIME
The first generation weaving Kyoto’s tradition and AI into sports business.
ØRIME (Orime) is the student project launched by KYOTO VALLEY. Beyond players, it spans five departments — corporate sales, marketing, public relations, academy and team operations — run in partnership with universities and vocational colleges across the Kyoto region. We are looking for university and vocational college students who want to build the future of a sports club with us.

Three meanings in one name
In Japanese, the sounds of the name hold three overlapping meanings.
THE WEAVE
Ori-me
Kyoto is a city of weaving. The looms of Nishijin controlled every single thread with punched pattern paper — widely regarded as an ancestor of the modern computer. At the heart of a thousand-year tradition, the prototype of technology was already there. ØRIME begins from that point.
THE FOLD
Ori-me
A sheet of paper that has never been folded stays flat. Each fold becomes the reference for the next, and the more folds you lay down, the higher the summit rises. In Japanese, being “properly folded” is also an idiom for courtesy and dignity.
THE GRID
Goban no me
Kyoto is a city laid out on a grid. We learn inside this city, and send people out from it. Everything in ØRIME begins inside the vessel called Kyoto.
A circle plus a double fold
Every element of the symbol carries its own meaning.

The circle — zero, and Kyoto
A zero point where nothing has been decided yet. At the same time, the vessel of Kyoto, the city on a grid. Everything begins inside this circle.

The lower fold — the foundation
Thin, understated and low, yet it carries the peak above it. The tradition our predecessors folded over centuries, and the first step taken by our first cohort.

The upper fold — the height reached
Higher and heavier than the fold below. The more experience is layered, the higher the summit rises. The gap between the two peaks is the distance we call growth.

The arrow to the summit
Connect the two summits and you get an arrow pointing straight up: the will to reach the top. Invert it, and it becomes the trajectory of a spike crossing the net.

Drawn in line alone — thread
Lines, not filled shapes, because this is still thread. A textile is nothing but a collection of lines. It has not yet become cloth — the weaving is still ahead of us.

Symmetry — a well-made fold
Fold a sheet of paper and the two halves always answer each other. Two summits stacked on a single axis form a lineage: the present laid over the tradition beneath it.
White × crimson
The deep Kyoto crimson family, matching the club’s official site exactly.
The weight of the lower fold was tested at several thicknesses so that the double fold survives at small sizes — on business cards, on uniforms, and reversed out in white on dark backgrounds.
